So true… the juice boxes and mylar juice containers find their way into the water. Snorkel along the shoreline at southgate to see a fine collection. And then there are the roughnecks brought in by Hovensa and Diageo for a short stay who feel no ownership or responsibility…

so true Don. Besides the juice boxes, diapers, bottles, cans, plastic and styrofoam cups/plates/containers, we fished over 10 pounds of nails and glass from the ashes of a pallet fire this past weekend. And there have three instances, so far this year, of idiots driving directly over recently laid sea turtle nests on Southgate beach.
But you know, the people have the right to trash the beach. Let the stupidity continue!

This is what separates the real Caribbean from the resorts. Resorts have people picking up trash and seaweed every morning.
I don’t understand why the territory doesn’t fulfill their cultural expectation and hire locals to clean the local beaches daily.
Scatter a few porta-jons in the mix too. More jobs and cleaner beaches.
