Flying Camel Poop!
Well, it’s official. I heard it on the radio. The Sahara dust is here.
A caller to the morning talk show cautioned listeners not to breath too much because “agents have been released into the atmosphere which may cause mass paranoid schizophrenia”! I’m holding my breath. I don’t want to get THAT!
No, but seriously. It can be bad. There may be molecules of poisons used in the third world and bacteria from all sorts of dung which have been carried by the winds to our area. I’d better break out my burka, my hard hat and my gas mask.
Let me go do that now!

I still think that was Monserrat “smoke” last week, it had that sulpher smell and the blue color that settles into the valleys.
This is early for the Sahara Dust but it’s not blue, and extra thick, too. Dried camel dung dust causes mental illness, sounds right.

I have an idea…since you folks are always looking for an excuse to celebrate why don’t you have an Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves party in celebration of the dust? Huh? Sounds reasonable.
I invented a new drink by the way, it’s called a physician, Diet Dr Pepper and Cruzan dark. Not bad.
Go to Kmart, buy a bottle of rum for $4, a bottle of Diet Dr Pepper and celebrate!
Hell, call it a Dr. Hunnicutt.

Instead of a colorful cocktail umbrella, it can be served with a straw and surgical mask with a little hole cut out, so one can sip, without breathing.

You’re both very funny.
Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves was probably already coined for our last administration here.
I can see the visuals now and am just waiting for the photo accompaniments now.
Given this groups’ leanings ( well, maybe not Wreg …) we could call the drinks ” Sandinistas ” !

I thought I had made a comment Friday. Just another lost in the ether thing.
I’m not sure whether this link showing the Saharan Dust Air Layer will work, but copy and paste for a loop:
