What a terrific travelogue this is. Sometimes I forget that this is where we live and it’s right outside our doors.

Great photos too!

Before I moved here in 01, we volunteered to do the Buck to Buck as a chase kayak. We have the foot pedal version which is like an incumbent bike- so easy and relaxing and you MOVE!
It was a great day and wonderful experience.
Funny- kayaks are the only vessels I don’t get seasick in.

So, anyone who supported the proposed speed boat race please take note. July 12, day before the proposed date for the proposed race, within or near the initial proposed course, mating sea turtles, on the surface. Nest activity at Buck Island. There were very legitimate reasons for our concerns about the race at this time of year. Please do your homework next time. Thanks
