Thanks for promoting this. The petition and PSC decision deal primarily with the economic issues. I’d encourage everyone to read it to get a flavor of the commitments being made in ratepayers names. Environmental issues (and there are some significant ones) will be addressed by CZM, EPA and others.

No, mostly pet-coke, with some sterilized garbage on top – that’s the ‘green’ part, burning some of our trash, so its considered an ‘alternative energy’ plant. Right.

You could add your name if you bought property here. The petition is specifically for VI WAPA rate payers, the ones who will be footing the bill for this mess for the next 20-30 years.

Those of you who don’t live here, or don’t have a WAPA bill in your name can still contact WAPA, the Governor’s Office, and the PSC to complain.
