What is Paul Golden trying to hide?

This morning we went down to the Great Pond Mini Mart, where Paul Golden’s media relations agent invited members of the press for a tour of the property where he has wanted to build a resort/casino/convention center. We went with a stack of questions and documentation prepared by the attorneys for the VI Conservation Society.

We handed the questionnaires out to reporters who showed up and attempted to join them on their “tour”. We were told by Golden and his buddy Roy Rogers (yes, that’s his real name) that we could not join them since we didn’t have press passes. According to the law, bloggers are members of the media, and we feel wrongly omitted from this event. Hmmm, why were we singled out and not permitted to attend? Everyone else there was allowed to go and according to his Media Alert, dated April 3, 2008, he would answer “any and all questions that you might have”. Let’s see what the newspapers and radio and television stations report.

Smart move in passing out the questions to the media….hmmmm….bloggers with press passes…that would be like millions of them, right? Where do we get our press passes from?

And just my two cents worth, it is almost inconceivable to me that the government has spent the amount of time on Robinson and Golden as they have….very clearly, neither of them has the money to pull off their project unless the government GIVES them the money….I don’t understand how they both have commanded the island media attention that they have for the past five years of so!! Unless they pass off their projects to someone with much deeper pockets, it is more likely that Michael Jackson will build a project before either of them.

Hi Larry. We’re going to make our own press passes just like people make their own business cards. A blog is like an on-line magazine or “newspaper”, so, why not?

For some reason, people believe all the “razzle dazzle”. If you saw “Chicago”, the movie or the CCT production, you can compare the courtroom scene with the baloney he and his buddies spew all the time….
